Welcome

I am a 31 year old working mom. I have two children ages 6 & 8. I am newly remarried (two years and counting) and enjoy spending time with the hubs! Even though life is busy I try to take a little time to show what is going on in my world. This blog is mainly for daily happenings, finances and such. I have created a whole new blog at Butcher, Baker and Candlestick Maker to chronicle my creative sides. You will find recipes, cooking adventures, crafts and a whole lot of digital scrapbook layouts.

ENJOY!

LOS Update

Many of the few people that read this blog are aware that my sister Margaret gave birth to a delightful little boy named Lucas Oscar Asselin on November 19th. He was 8lbs 4 oz and I think 19 inches long. He is a beautiful boy.
Since then there have been some events - He got sick on Dec 30th and was sent to the ER by his pediatricion. After a really long day he was diagnosed with Retnal Blastoma - a tumor in his eye. He has been in the hospital since. He and his parents were transfered to Atlanta on Sunday and they did surgery to remove his eye yesterday (Jan 5). He is doing well and is being released to go home today. Margaret will be glad to get home to her own bed after a week sleeping at a Hospital. They plan on doing further test on his remaining eye and he will have to go in for regular evaluations for years...
Please keep them in your thoughts as they are trying to get their life back on track.

Oh, I am sorry that that happened. It is wonderful that they caught it early. Thank you for the update :)

And, thank you for commenting on my blog! We are not the greatest gardeners in the world...except for carrots in the winter, I guess :)
Great to hear from you! You are always so sweet!

How is he doing now? Hope things are looking up. It is always so scary when little ones have a serious health issue when they are brand new. So grateful for good doctors that care for these tiny ones.
