Welcome

I am a 31 year old working mom. I have two children ages 6 & 8. I am newly remarried (two years and counting) and enjoy spending time with the hubs! Even though life is busy I try to take a little time to show what is going on in my world. This blog is mainly for daily happenings, finances and such. I have created a whole new blog at Butcher, Baker and Candlestick Maker to chronicle my creative sides. You will find recipes, cooking adventures, crafts and a whole lot of digital scrapbook layouts.

ENJOY!

Employee Appreciation Week

This week here at the Augusta Chronicle we have been having Employee Appreciation Week.

Monday - Sports theme day. You could wear something for your favorite team.

Tuesday - Dress as a tacky tourist. The prize was a $100 visa card so I thought I would give it a try. Here is a picture of me. Unfortunately you don't get the whole effect. I had on my husband's black calf socks with sandals, knee shorts, the Texas looking button up shirt, a fanny pack, a camera, a video camera, an umbrella, a hat, a map, and a "Need Tickets" sign for the Masters. It was hilarious.

Wednesday - Coffee House day with baked goods and coffee

Thursday - Ice Cream Sundays I am here and here. They had Vanilla and Chocolate Ice Cream from Brusters, with Nuts, Chocolate, Strawberries, Pineapple, Whipped Cream and Cherries. Yum!

Friday - Lunch from Dye's Southern Catering. They provided - Fried Catfish, Fried Trout, Chicken Fingers, Fries, Hushpuppies, Coleslaw, Pink Lemonade, Sweet Tea with Banana Pudding and Peach Cobbler for dessert.

Okay, so I loved this post. I was all excited to get on here and comment, and then I saw the baby counter! And then I was ready to whoop and hollar over that, so I put Adam down and when I came back to comment I noticed that it said Margaret's baby. That's awesome that they're expecting, but a tiny bit anticlimactic when for one glorious minute I thought it was yours. I would have had to really throw a party.
Okay, but anyway...sounds like you had a great work week. I love the pictures! I miss the south--you know I'd go back to Augusta in a heartbeat if they'd send us there.
