I just got back from Mother's Night Out at Logan's with a group of women from my sister's church. I had such a great time. I knew enough people that I was able to join in conversations and not feel like an "outsider" I got to sit next to a great woman who just encourages me, sometimes without even realizing it, to be a better me. I was also able to chat with my sister. Too often our lives seem to be rushing by and we don't get a chance to be sisters because we are so busy being Moms and Wifes.
I am also so grateful for a husband who encouraged me to go out with these ladies and fellowship with them. Although we don't belong to the same church I felt welcomed. But nothing beats coming home, especially when the porch light beckons you to a familiar loving place.

Hey, I'm so glad you had such a great time. Those kind of nights are always so much fun--and so needed. =) I agree with you about the porch light and coming home. Sometimes I think about you and Steve getting together, and I am just filled with happy thankfulness that you are a family now. I love you guys. You know that. (You better, anyway =). Can't wait to see you. (Steve is coming, right?)
Sharon,
I'm so glad that you were able to make it and humbled by your kind words. Your blog is so much fun! You have so much fun stuff...I'll definitely be back, especially to the Butcher and Baker...will those recipes turn to low calorie veggies? Sure they will!!! Have a great day!

I am glad you had a great time. I like how you worded the last part about the porch light :)
Hey Sharon, I soooo wanted to join you ladies at Logans. I just couldn't miss my boys' little league games though. Hopefully I'll make the next one. Glad you had fun. :)
